Abstract

Dundalk Institute of Technology (DkIT) were proud to host the extremely well attended Irish Computer Interaction Conference on Campus on 17 November 2023. This was the 16th Irish Human Computer Interaction (iHCI) Symposium which has previously been held in universities throughout the Island of Ireland. This face-to-face event showcased leading HCI research happening across Ireland and Northern Ireland. As in previous years, the event included keynote addresses, a paper presentation track for showcasing a selection of publications by researchers in leading HCI and related venues, a rapid-fire poster session, as well as opportunities to network. Keynote speakers on the day included Dr Dympna O'Sullivan, Head of Research, Faculty of Computing, Digital and Data, TU Dublin and Dr Trevor Hogan a Lecturer in UX Research and Design in the Media Communications department at Crawford College of Art and Design, MTU, Cork. The event was supported by the ACM SIGCHI Chapter Ireland and Dundalk Institute of Technology (School of Informatics and Creative Arts, and the School of Health and Science).
