Abstract
This report presents an analysis of the lithic assemblage recovered during the excavation of the Site M secular cemetery at Knowth, Co. Meath. Although the main activity investigated during the excavation dated to the Early Medieval period, a significant number of chipped stone artefacts were recovered which were clearly manufactured in prehistoric times and probably represent a residual element within the Early Medieval contexts. A medieval plough-pebble, probably dating to the twelfth or thirteenth century is also noted.
